Prof Mustaf Abd Elkhalek, the president of the university , stated that Sohag University continues to implement the student field visit program to inspect the development projects in the governorate as the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, in cooperation with the General Administration of Youth Welfare, organized a field visit to inspect the urban market in Nasser City and the Orouba Tunnel Development Project, and also the triple water treatment station project in Hajarsa which is next to the university headquarters, as well as visiting  municipalities club

He said that the field visits were carried out in order to activate the directives of the political leadership on the importance of educating university youth about the efforts made by the state to achieve the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s vision 2030, and also within the framework of the “You Have the Right to Know” initiative launched by Major General Tariq al-Fiqi, Governor of Sohag, to introduce young people to national projects in various sectors and to learn about the projects of the Presidential Initiative for the Development of the Egyptian Rural, “A Decent Life.”

 

Prof. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, emphasized the keenness of the university administration to organize these field visits, which contribute to shaping youth awareness and introducing them to the development boom and national projects that are being implemented on the ground, in addition to conveying the true picture of the projects and identifying the stages Construction, what has been accomplished, the timing of the work, the stages of completion and delivery, the purpose of these projects, the services they provide to citizens, and the benefits accruing to them and the nation from it.
